Grandma and Grandpa visit

I think I'll vote for Obama.

Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Dianne are visiting us from Indiana. Here I am hanging out with Grandpa.

Grandma likes to read me books. She thinks it's funny when I squeal out in delight.

Grandpa and I have the same taste in hats.

Dianne is an Obama Grandmama.

Grandpa and I play music together.

Gaining momentum

Summer is coming to an end. I continue to grow and explore. My first tooth made its way through my gums this week. I was not very happy about it. I felt a lot better when I was being held, and enjoyed chewing on my sippy cup and other toys.

When I'm at home, I love sitting up and playing my drums.

Here I am hanging out with Mama. Can you tell I'm teething?

Our friends Marshall and Heather got married this weekend. Their wedding was beautiful, outside in Aspen. I enjoyed dancing to the live band and laughing with all the new people I met.
Baba spent two days making the chuppah underneath which Heather and Marshall were married. He created a design, cut down willow trees, braided them together, created a burlap cover with Mama's help and installed it for their wedding.

I am gaining momentum! In this first video I am wiggling across the floor in my bedroom. In the second, I am discovering myself in the mirror.

September

Here we are at the "all white" lawn party for Ursula Rose's birthday.

Annie and I spent a lot of time together at the party.

Baba and I made pancakes and sausage together on Saturday morning. I love being cuddled in the sling with Baba!

Hello friends and family! The Gardner's are doing well here in Carbondale. The air is getting crisp as fall approaches. Frost licks the grass in the mornings, but we still bask in the sun for the afternoons. Mama and Baba celebrated their seven year wedding anniversary this week. The hot springs pool is really fun to go to now that it is cool. I just got a new wooden train with stackable block parts and I love...to eat it! I'm scooting all over the place. Nothing is safe from my grasp now. I went to our friend Ursula's birthday party today. So many good people were there and they held me and kissed me and smiled at me. I'm looking forward to spending the week with my friends Barbara Rose, Hannah and Kai and going to Marshall and Heather's wedding on Friday in Aspen. My Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Dianne are coming to visit me soon. I can't wait!

Love,
Solomon

Mama's back to work

With Mama working again, I get to spend time with other folks. My friend Kai hangs out with me all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sometimes we are at my house and sometimes at his house. He's fifteen months old and is already teaching me lots of things.

Kai loves to eat. When I watch him having so much fun eating, it makes me want to eat too. We eat our meals together and now I enjoy it more.

Kai can crawl and play with so many things. Here we are spending time together and learning how to do a high five. I can give a high five if you bring your hand all the way to mine.

Seven months old

I am seven months old now! Life is good. Here I am playing in my silks. I pulled them out of my basket all by myself.

Smiling!

Mama went back to work this week. I spent my mornings with friends and Baba, but slept for the most of the time Mama was gone. She came to get me at 11am. Here I am giving her a kiss. Just so happens she had put the camera on the self timer and caught me planting a wet one on her.

I got my very own high chair! Thank you Great Grandma Phyllis, Uncle Dick and Aunt Joan!
