August 24

I learned how to stick my tongue out. I like it.

Although I am only eating little bites of solid foods, I love eating my caterpillar. Yum.

Here I am with my friend Mel. I like to watch her crawl, stand up and eat. She's an older woman, at 15 months.

Here we are playing in Melody's front yard. She shares with me and is very sweet to me.

This weekend we went camping. We met some friends at a place in Old Snowmass by a stream where we could pull our car up. This kind of car camping is what we will do for awhile, since I can't wear a pack yet, and Mama has to wear me as her pack. Baba is tough, but can't really hike all our gear on a trail. I was not a fan of sleeping in a tent. Every time Mama rolled over on the ThermaRest, I woke up. So, none of us got much sleep, it rained and there were mosquitoes. Still, we had fun and decided it was not a total failure. I liked hanging out on the blanket under the trees. Julianna took me on a hike, Mama nursed me by the river, and Gabe and Baba played with me and made me laugh.

You're under arrest for raising a baby that exceeds the state's strictly enforced cuteness limits. Yes, it's a law, look it up.
